Boaz Otieno Akech, known as Jagingo, is a Kenyan musician born on May 9, 1987, in Kanyadotto, Homabay County. Inspired by his father, Manas Akech Bunde, Boaz left school early to focus on music, mastering traditional Luo instruments like the Orutu, Oporo, and drumset. He began with the Kenge Kenge band and has shared stages with legends like Suzanna Owiyo and Iddi Achieng. Since 2003, Boaz has toured Africa, Europe, the US, and Asia, including Paris, New York, and Kuala Lumpur, promoting Luo music. A man of faith, he enjoys playing piano at church.
